SouthDakota2008: Day 1 - The Drive Out

The first day of our trip was spent with Paul and his father driving to Rapid City in a rented Toyota Sienna minivan. Paul's mother flew from Minneapolis to Rapid City where Paul's sister Anne and cousins Liz & Doug would pick her up there. Paul and his father met up on the way with Diane and her beau Grant in Mitchell, South Dakota at the famous Mitchell Corn Palace.

Michele and Sammy were back east attending the funeral of her maternal grandmother. They would join us some days later.
