Mr. Fancy Pants!

One of the kind and very stylish gifts Sammy received was a Ralph Lauren outfit from Chris and Mike. Sammy has received quite a few compliments for his snazzy outfit. His mother also looks good in her RL clothes. And Paul?...well he wears jeans he buys from where else...Wal-Mart. We now know where Sammy gets his good looks from!

We took these pics during our Spring 2006 vacation .

Thanks Mike & Chris!!!!!

Such good looks...such good clothes...no wonder the smile.

Sammy has his dancing shoes on too.

Taking Sammy for his first walk...

On May 7, 2006 we took Sammy for his first walk outdoors. Our good friends Dave, Jackie, and their son Max had given Sammy a fabulous Peg Perego stroller (yuppers, it's Italian!!). Sammy's cousin Ana kindly agreed to accompany him. So off we went to enjoy spring in our neighborhood.

Dave/Jackie/Max -- thanks so much!!!

...but that doesn't work so we had to stop to feed him.

Ana was as charming as the spring day.

We have flowering trees in on our "boulevard."

Tulips...right?

Mr. Personality

Our son little Sammy becomes more and more aware of his surroundings. And as he does so, he actively engages with it. An example is the way he responds to the Baby Einstein videos (remarkable videos made for infants...which Paul could zone out for hours in front of). Othertimes, he wants to converse with you. How he chats! Those are some of the best times we are having with him.

March 2005: Santa Barbara

Back in March of 2005 we went on a vacation to Santa Barbara with our friends Daxa and Ashwin (Michele's schoolmates from college). Paul managed to lose the files and then found them (though he still can't recover alot of the MPEG's he shot on the trip). Over the years we've gone on numerous trips with them and always had a great time.

We consider Santa Barbara one of the most beautiful cities we've ever seen. It's terribly expensive to live there, but Paul would be willing to live in the streets there...because it really is gorgeous out there.

We arrived in Los Angeles, drove up the coast (well as far as we could go) and stayed at the Casa Del Mar (a 21 Mediterranean style inn only 1/2 block from the beach). Here's some pictures of where we:

...or is it art imitating life?

The vineyard, but no "bachelor" in sight...
...is that because we didn't see him...
...or because he is now married and thus there is no bachelor in sigh?.

Vacationing w/Ashwin & Daxa is always a barrel of fun.

Paul is the luckiest ex-bachelor around.

Some Old Buildings From Springfield, Ohio

On our home leg our Spring 2006 trip, we stopped by to visit Michele's childhood friend Lisa in Springfield, Ohio. Lisa's house is in a historic district so Paul took a few pictures. The first few picture are of what is now a funeral home but must have been the mansion of someone really important. Some of the houses in the area are in the process of restoration.

Someday we hope to win the lottery and buy a big old brick house. So we like to take pictures of homes that catch our fancy. But until we win, we'll keep patching up the modest house we currently have.

A massive funeral home which must have been a cool mansion...
